The Prestige opinion

The Prestige is a film directed by Kristopher Nolan, in 2006.

It is about "Robert" and Alfred, two magicians who work together with the help of the former's wife (www.rottentomatoes.com). During a show, Alfred makes a different tie on the woman's wrists, thus, she cannot escape from the water tank she is been thrown in. Due to her death, the magicians stop cooperating and become rivals.

The movie depicts the attempts of Robert to copy Alfred's magic trick. The later "transports" himself from the right to the left side of the stage in seconds. Robert goes to America in order to find answers from Tesla, after Alfred's misdirection....

In my opinion, the whole film is like a magic trick. It follows the structure of the "parts or acts" of one of them.

In the beginning, the movie portrays the life of two simple magicians. Their cooperation, their relationship and their hatred for each other. This is "The Pledge", which, according to the film, is the piece where the magician displays something "ordinary".

The middle is "The Turn", where the magician makes this element "extraordinary", like when Alfred makes his magic trick, and Robert starts his trial to find out how he does it and even make it better.

Finally, is "The Prestige", where the trick ends.

Το "The Prestige" είναι μια ταινία, του σκηνοθέτη Kristopher Nolan, το 2006.

Μιλά για τον "Robert" και τον Alfred, δύο ταχυδακτυλουργούς που δουλεύουν μαζί με την βοήθεια της γυναίκας του πρώτου (www.rottentomatoes.com). Κατά την διάρκεια ενός σόου, ο Alfred κάνει έναν διαφορετικό κόμπο στους καρπούς της γυναίκας, έτσι, εκείνη δεν μπορεί να ξεφύγει από την δεξαμενή με νερό, μέσα στην οποία την ρίχνουν. Εξαιτίας του θανάτου της, οι μάγοι σταματούν να συνεργαζονται και γίνονται εχθροί.

Η ταινία παρουσιάζει τις προσπάθειες του Robert να αντιγράψει το μαγικό του Alfred. Ο τελευταίος, "τηλεμεταφέρει" τον εαυτό του από την δεξιά προς την αριστερή πλευρά της σκηνής σε δευτερόλεπτα. Ο Robert πάει στην Αμερική για να βρει απαντήσεις από τον Tesla, μετά την λανθασμένη καθοδήγηση του Alfred.

Κατά την γνώμη μου, όλη η ταινία είναι σαν μαγικό τρικ. Ακολουθά την δομή των "μερών ή δράσεων" ενός από αυτά.

Στην αρχή, η ταινία απεικονίζει την ζωή δύο απλών ταχυδακτυλουργών, την συνεργασία τους, την σχέση τους και το μίσος που έχει ο ένας για τον άλλο. Αυτή είναι "Η  Υπόσχεση", η οποία, σύμφωνα με την ταινία, είναι το κομμάτι στο οποίο ο μάγος παρουσιάζει κάτι "συνηθισμένο".

Η μέση είναι "Το Κόλπο", όπου οι μάγος κάνει αυτό το στοιχείο "ασυνήθιστο", όπως όταν ο Alfred κάνει το κόλπο, και ο Robert ξεκινά την προσπάθεια να βρει πώς το κάνει αλλά και να το κάνει καλύτερο.

Τέλος, είναι "Το Γόητρο" όπου το κόλπο τελειώνει.

Pokemon The First Movie - Mewtwo vs. Mew opinion

There are plenty of messages and feelings that a film could evoke. A great combination of fame, creativity and philosophy, was the film "Pokemon The First Movie - Mewtwo vs. Mew" "1999", "directed by" "Michael Haigney" and "Kunihiko Yuyama" (www.rottentomatoes.com).

Always in a dark tone, the film begins with a team of scientists who discover a DNA example of the  rarest Pokemon, Mew. Working for Giovanni, the leader of Team Rocket, the scientists create an experiment, a stronger clone, using the DNA. This new Pokemon believes that it should live fair as humans do, not as a creature inside a laboratory, and destroys everything on the island. Driven by the lies of Giovanni about equality, it serves him as his best Pokemon, only for his needs. After leaving him, it swears to destroy everyone who stands on its way, and names itself as "Mewtwo".

Ash, Misty and Brock get a message from the strongest Pokemon trainer, who wants the protagonist to battle him on his island. This message is also sent to other trainers, who pass through a great storm, in order to reach New Island. It is revealed that Mewtwo called everybody, who claims to be both the most powerful Pokemon and trainer, too. When they lose by its clones, he steals the Pokemon of the trainers inside the castle, and creates other clones. Ash leads the team of the prototypes, and a battle between them and their clones, begins. In the meantime, Mew appears to save Ash from Mewtwo's attack and battles its clone as well.

The protagonist cannot stand the battles, so he runs between the two legendary Pokemon. Their attacks hit him, and transform him into a stone statue. Pikachu and the other Pokemon, both the prototypes and clones, cry. Their tears turn Ash into his regular state, again, and Mewtwo sees the power of will and stops the meaningless battle. It leaves with its clones and Mew, transports everybody to the port from which they started and erases their memories.

In my opinion, this movie has great symbols. 

Initially, there are shots of the scientists smiling and shaking hands, when Mewtwo is created. However, we can also see the difference between the Pokemon and human hands, also the loneliness of the clone, inside the capsule.

After the laboratory destruction, Mewtwo and Giovanni talk between the flames. Their silhouettes helps us focus on their similarities, as dark beings, even though they are not of the same species. This likeness, also foreshadows Mewtwo's need of acting as a human. The flames resemble evil and darkness. 

The fact that both the tears of the prototypes and the clones help Ash to recover, demonstrates the equality of the different species and kinds of creatures in the world.
In this film, philosophy arouses many questions. "Why to fight?", "Why to be separated, when we are equal?", "What is life?", "What could one do with their life?"
Additionally, the message of stopping fight and war is also there.

And of course, the words of Mewtwo are wonderful examples of equality and power of will

"I see now that the circumstances of one's birth, are irrelevant. It is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are".

Υπάρχουν πολλά μηνύματα και συναισθήματα που μπορεί μια ταινία να εκφράσει. Ένας σπουδαίος συνδυασμός της φήμης, της δημιουργικότητας και της φιλοσοφίας, ήταν η ταινία "Pokemon The First Movie - Mewtwo vs. Mew" "1999", "σε σκηνοθεσία" "Michael Haigney" and "Kunihiko Yuyama" (www.rottentomatoes.com).

Αυτό το μήνυμα το παίρνουν και άλλοι εκπαιδευτές, οι οποίοι περνούν μέσω μιας δυνατής καταιγίδας, για να φτάσουν στο New Island. Ο πρωταγωνιστής δεν μπορεί να αντέξει τις μάχες, για αυτό τρέχει ανάμεσα στα δύο θρυλικά Pokemon. Οι επιθέσεις τους, τον χτυπούν, και τον μετατρέπουν σε πέτρινο άγαλμα. Ο Pikatchu και τα υπόλοιπα Pokemon, και τα πρωτότυπα και οι κλώνοι, κλαίνε. Τα δάκρυά τους κάνουν τον Ash όπως ήταν πριν, και ο Mewtwo βλέπει την δύναμη της θέλησης, και σταματά αυτή την χωρίς νόημα μάχη. Φεύγει με τους κλώνους του και τον Mew, τους στέλνει όλους στο λιμάνι από το οποίο ξεκίνησαν και σβήνει τις αναμνήσεις τους. 

Κατά την γνώμη μου, αυτή η ταινία έχει σπουδαία σύμβολα.

Αρχικά, υπάχουν πλάνα των επιστημόνων να χαμογελούν και να δίνουν τα χέρια, όταν ο Mewtwo δημιουργήθηκε. Παρ΄όλα αυτά, μπορούμε επίσης να δούμε την διαφορά μεταξύ των χεριών του Pokemon και των ανθρώπων, καθώς και την μοναξιά του κλώνου, στην κάψουλα.

Μετά την καταστροφή του εργαστηρίου, ο Mewtwo και ο Giovanni μιλούν ανάμεσα στις φλόγες. Οι σιλουέττες τους μας βοηθούν να εστιάσουμε στις ομοιότητές τους, ως σκοτεινα όντα, παρ'όλο που δεν είναι του ίδιου είδους. Αυτή η ομοιότητα, προοικονομεί και την ανάγκη του Mewtwo να δρασει σαν άνθρωπος. Οι φλόγες συμβολίζουν το κακό και το σκοτάδι.

Το γεγονός ότι και τα δάκρυα των πρωτοτύπων αλλά και των κλώνων βοηθούν τον Ash να ανακάμψει, παρουσιάζει την ισότητα των διαφορετικών ειδών πλασμάτων στον κόσμο.

Σε αυτήν τη ταινία, η φιλοσοφία εξεγείρει πολλά ερωτήματα. "Γιατί να πολεμάμε;", "Γιατί να είμαστε χωριστά, όταν είμαστε ίσοι;", "Τι είναι η ζωή;" "Τι θα μπορούσε κάποιος να κανει με την ζωή του;"

Επιπλέον, το μήνυμα του σταματήματος της μάχης και του πολέμου, είναι επίσης εκεί.

Και φυσικά, τα λόγια του Mewtwo είναι θαυμάσια παραδείγματα της ισότητας και της δύναμης της θέλησης.

Her opinion

"Her" is a film, with "Spike Jonze" as the director, in "2013" (www.rottentomatoes.com).
The movie is about Theodore, a man who falls in love with his operating system.


I believe that the story development is very successful. It begins with Theodore as a lonely man, devastated by his break up. He seeks company to Samantha, the operating system, which helps him with his work saying her opinions, and later, with his personal life. He begins to fall in love with Samantha during their strong conversation about passion, and they "make love". By that time, they have a relationship, however, during the culmination, they argue. Their relationship gets better again, leading to the end of the story. I believe that the story writer creates a smooth, gradual relationship between the viewer and the concept of the film.

In my opinion, the idea behind this movie is wonderful. For example, the state of falling in love with an operating system, which has no actual existence, depicts the purity of love as a feeling. There are no restrictions related to the appearance of the woman. The man is only passionate about the character of the system.

I believe that the images near the ending are very strong. During the last words of Samantha, Thedore is portrayed crying, also the dust which is hit by the light makes the end of the system very intense, because they depict Theodore's state, but the dust is also a symbol of Samantha leaving.

Το "Her" είναι μια ταινία με τον "Spike Jonze" ως σκηνοθέτη, το "2013" (www.rottentomatoes.com).
Έχει να κάνει με τον Theodore, έναν άνδρα που ερωτεύεται το λειτουργικό του σύστημα.

Πιστεύω ότι η εξέλιξη της ιστορίας είναι πολύ επιτυχημένη. Ξεκινά με τον Theodore ως έναν μοναχικό άνθρωπο, κατεστραμμένο από τον χωρισμό του. Ψάχνει παρέα στην Samantha, το λειτουργικό σύστημα, το οποίο τον βοηθά με την δουλειά του λέγοντας τις απόψεις της, και αργότερα, με την προσωπική του ζωή. Αρχίζει να ερωτεύεται την Samantha κατά την διάρκεια της δυνατής τους συνομιλίας για το πάθος, και "κάνουν έρωτα". Από εκείνη την στιγμή, έχουν σχέση, παρ'όλα αυτά, κατά την διάρκεια του culmination, μαλώνουν. Η σχέση τους γίνεται καλύτερη πάλι, οδηγώντας στο τέλος της ιστορίας. Πιστεύω ότι ο συγγραφέας της ιστορίας δημιουργεί μια απαλή, σταδιακή σχέση μεταξύ του θεατή και του concept της ταινίας.

Κατά την γνώμη μου, η ιδέα πίσω από την ταινία είναι υπέροχη. Για παράδειγμα, η κατάσταση του να ερωτευτεί κανείς ένα λειτουργικό σύστημα, το οποίο δεν έχει ουσιαστική ύπαρξη, απεικονίζει την αγνότητα της αγάπης ως συναίσθημα. Δεν υπάρχουν περιορισμοί που έχουν σχέση με την εμφάνιση της γυναίκας. Ο άνδρας είναι παθιασμένος μόνο με τον χαρακτήρα του συστήματος.

Πιστεύω ότι οι εικόνες κοντά στο τελείωμα είναι πολύ δυνατές. Κατά την διάρκεια των τελευταίων λογιών της Samantha, ο Theodore απεικονίζεται να κλαίει, επίσης η σκόνη που την χτυπά το φως κάνει το τέλος του συστήματος πολύ έντονο, γιατί απεικονίζουν την κατάσταση του Theodore, αλλά και η σκόνη είναι ένα σύμβολο της Samantha που φεύγει.

Kingdom Hearts - The opinion for the Masterpiece

Kingdom Hearts is a video game, developed by Square Enix and also Walt Disney collaborated, in 2002. Tetsuya Nomura is the person behind it, as a director.

The game demonstrates the life of three friends: Sora, Riku and Kairi. They live in the Destiny Islands and want to reach other worlds using a raft. However, darkness destroys their home and separates them. Sora gets a weapon in a shape of a giant key, called Keyblade. He becomes a friend and collaborates with Donald Duck and Goofy, who are trying to find their king, Mickey Mouse.

The friends travel to different worlds meeting Alice, Hercules, Peter Pan, the Beast and others, defeating the creatures of darkness, called the Heartless, and protect the worlds from destruction.

I believe that the story is the best part of the game. It effectively combines the plot of each Walt Disney film in their respective worlds, with the one of Kingdom Hearts. It also correlates the Disney villains with both their fight with the protagonists and their goal, which is to collect the Disney Princesses.

Riku is a very interesting character. He begins brave enough to fight the darkness, however, he gets by the side of Maleficent, the villain leader. Later, he gets possessed by the Heartless of Xehanort (Ansem) and he ends up in the dark realm.

Additionally, the symbols are also very efficient. They clearly demonstrate the power of light, with the friendship, smile and effort over darkness.

In my opinion, the essence of tenderness is also very smooth, but also beautiful. Sora risks his own heart in order to free Kairi and becomes a Heartless. Then, she embraces him and makes him human again. After the defeat of Xehanort's Heartless (Ansem) he tries to catch her, but the got separated.

Music is also another brilliant part of the game. The theme song called "Hikari" and it has a pretty rhythm.

Το παιχνίδι παρουσιάζει την ζωή τριών φίλων: Του Sora, του Riku και της Kairi. Ζούνε στα Destiny Islands και θέλουν να φτάσουν άλλους κόσμους με μια σχεδία. Γίνεται φίλος και συνεργάζεται με τον Donald Duck και τον Goofy, οι οποίοι προσπαθούν να βρουν τον βασιλιά τους, τον Mickey Mouse.

Οι φίλοι ταξιδεύουν σε άλλους κόσμους, συναντώντας την Αλίκη, τον Ηρακλή, τον Πίτερ Παν, το Τέρας και άλλους, νικώντας πλάσματα του σκοταδιού, τα Heartless, και προστατεύοντας τους κόσμους από την καταστροφή.

Πιστεύω ότι η ιστορία είναι το καλύτερο κομμάτι του παιχνιδιού. Συνδυάζει αποτελεσματικά την πλοκή κάθε ταινίας της Walt Disney στους αντίστοιχους κόσμους, με εκείνη του Kingdom Hearts. Συσχετίζει επίσης τους κακούς της Disney και με την μάχη τους με τους πρωταγωνιστές, και με τον σκοπό τους,  οποίος είναι να συγκεντρώσουν τις Πριγκίπισσες της Disney.

Ο Riku είναι ένας πολύ ενδιαφέρων χαρακτήρας. Ξεκινά πολύ γενναίος να πολεμήσει το σκοτάδι, παρ'όλα αυτά, πηγαίνει με την μεριά της Maleficent, της αρχηγού των κακών. Αργότερα, κατέχεται από το Heartless του Xehanort (Ansem) και καταλήγει στον κόσμο του σκοταδιού.

Επιπροσθέτως, τα σύμβολα είναι επίσης πολύ λειτουργικά. Ξεκάθαρα απεικονίζουν την δύναμη του φωτός, με την φιλία, το χαμόγελο και την προσπάθεια ενάντια στο σκοτάδι.

Κατά την γνώμη μου, η αίσθηση της τρυφερότητας είναι επίσης πολύ απαλή, αλλά πανέμορφη. Ο Sora ρισκάρει την ίδια του την καρδιά για να ελευθερώσει την Kairi και γίνεται Heartless. μετά, εκείνη τον αγκαλιάζει και τον κάνει άνθρωπο πάλι. Μετά την ήττα του Heartless του Xehanort (Ansem) προσπαθεί να την πιάσει, αλλά χωρίζονται.

Η μουσική είναι επίσης άλλα ένα υπέροχο κομμάτι του παιχνιδιού. Το τραγούδι των τίτλων λέγεται Hikari και έχει έναν όμορφο ρυθμό.

Brandy and Mr. Whiskers opinion

Brandy and Mr. Whiskers is a television animated series, created by "Russell Marcus" (www.imdb.com). It is about a hare and a dog who fall from a plane inside the Amazon jungle, by accident.

The best part of this series is its humour. Mr. Whiskers, is a hilarious character, trying always to spent some time with his friend, Brandy, being tiresome with his beliefs and actions. He is very dirty and foolish, which makes a great contrast with Brandy. She is very clever and always treats herself well, like she is a young lady. However, they always conclude to pass through the same adventure together.

Another character who is very interesting is Ed. He is an otter, friend of Mr. Whiskers. This character is very smart, but also very quiet. However, he follows Mr. Whiskers but also says his own opinion on things.

Το Brandy and Mr. Whiskers είναι μια τηλεοπτική σειρά animation, από τον δημιουργό "Russell Marcus" (www.imdb.com). Έχει να κάνει με έναν λαγό και μια σκυλίτσα που πέφτουν από ένα αεροπλάνο μέσα στην ζούγκλα του Αμαζονίου, κατά λάθος.

Το καλύτερο κομμάτι της σειράς είναι το χιούμορ. Ο Mr. Whiskers, είναι ένας αστείος χαρακτήρας, προσπαθώντας πάντα να περάσει λίγο χρόνο με την φίλη του, την Brandy, και γίνεται κουραστικός με τα πιστεύω του και τις δράσεις του. Είναι βρώμικος και ανόητος, κάτι το οποίο κάνει μεγάλη αντίθεση με την Brandy. Εκείνη είναι πολύ έξυπνη και πάντα φέρεται στον εαυτό της σαν να είναι μια νεαρή γυναίκα. Παρ'όλα αυτά, πάντα καταλήγουν να περνούν την ίδια περιπέτεια μαζί.

Άλλος ένας χαρακτήρας που είναι πολύ ενδιαφέρων είναι ο Ed. Είναι μια ενυδρίδα, φίλος του Mr. Whiskers. Αυτός ο χαρακτήρας είναι πολύ έξυπνος, αλλά επίσης πολύ ήσυχος. Παρόλα αυτά, ακολουθεί τον Mr. Whiskers αλλά επίσης λέει την γνώμη του σε πράγματα.

Les Miserables opinion

Les Miserables is a film directed by Tom Hooper, in 2012. It is about Jean Valjean, a prisoner who breaks his parole and starts a new life. However, inspector Javert chases him, as the former prisoner raises the daughter of Fantine, one of the workers of his factory who becomes a prostitute and dies.

The main characteristic of the film is its form. Based on the stage musical, the movie also includes these songs, making the feelings evoked stronger.

One of the most famous songs is called "I dreamed a dream", sung by Fantine. The song is about the life of the woman, who remembers the old days and the destruction of her dreams, due to the fact that she became a prostitute in order to raise her daughter.

Javert creates a great correlation, between the "law", the stars, Lucifer, heaven and hell, in the song "Stars". He believes that the people of the law, give light to the dark like the stars, which are always on their positions, steady. However, according to him, if one star falls like Lucifer, who was an angel before, it would burn. Thus, he claims that if a person of the law does not follow the right, he would be lead in hell.

"One day more" is the song before the battle of the revolution. Each of the main characters waits for something different. Valjean wants to leave the town before the revolution, Cosette, the daughter of Fantine, wants to see her beloved rebel, Marius, again. Marius is between following Cosette or fight. Javert waits for the revolution to start in order to end it. These different relationships make the song stronger, in addition to its intense music and lyrics.

Οι Άθλιοι είναι μια ταινία, σκηνοθετημένη από τον Tom Hooper, το 2012. Πρόκειται για τον Γιάννη Αγιάννη, έναν φυλακισμένο που σπάει την άδειά του και ξεκινά μια νέα ζωή. Παρ'όλα αυτά, ο επιθεωρητής Ιαβέρης τον κυνηγά, καθώς ο παλιός αιχμάλωτος μεγαλώνει την κόρη της Φαντίν, μια από τις εργάτριες του εργοστασίου του που γίνεται πόρνη και πεθαίνει.

Το βασικό χαρακτηριστικό της ταινίας είναι η μορφή της. Βασισμένη στο μιούζικαλ του θεάτρου, η ταινία περιέχει επίσης αυτά τα τραγούδια, κάνοντας τα συναισθήματα που δημιουργεί, δυνατότερα.

Ένα από τα πιο γνωστά τραγούδια λέγεται "I dreamed a dream", τραγουδιέται από την Fantine. Το τραγούδι είναι για την ζωή της γυναίκας, που θυμάται τις παλιές ημέρες και την καταστροφή των ονείρων της, εξαιτίας του γεγονότος ότι έγινε πόρνη με σκοπό να μεγαλώσει την κόρη της.

Ο Ιαβέρης δημιουργεί μια μεγάλη συσχέτιση, μεταξύ του "νόμου", των αστεριών, του Εωσφόρου, του παραδείσου και της κόλασης, στο τραγούδι "Stars". Πιστεύει ότι οι άνθρωποι του νόμου, δίνουν φως στο σκοτάδι σαν τα αστέρια, που είναι πάντα στις θέσεις τους, σταθερά. Παρ'όλα αυτά, σύμφωνα με εκείνον, αν κάποιο αστέρι πέσει όπως ο Εωσφόρος, που ήταν άγγελος πριν, θα καεί. Έτσι, υποστηρίζει ότι αν ένας άνθρωπος του νόμου δεν ακολουθεί το δίκιο, θα οδηγηθεί στην κόλαση.

Το "One day more" είναι το τραγούδι πριν την μάχη της επανάστασης. Κάθε ένας από τους κύριους χαρακτήρες περιμένει για κάτι διαφορετικό. Ο Αγιάννης θέλει να αφήσει την πόλη πριν την επανάσταση, η Cosette, η κόρη της Fantine, θέλει να δει τον αγαπημένο της επαναστάτη, τον Marius, πάλι. Ο Marius είναι ανάμεσα στο να ακολουθήσει την Cosette ή να πολεμήσει. Ο Ιαβέρης περιμένει την επανάσταση να αρχίσει, με σκοπό να την τελειώσει. Αυτές οι διαφορετικές σχέσεις κάνουν το τραγούδι δυνατότερο, επιπρόσθετα με την έντονη μουσική και τους στίχους.

Policeman Paul works in the corridor of the prisoners who will be executed, the Green Mile.When a new prisoner, John, arrives, Paul becomes a witness of very peculiar facts.
The story begins with the policeman who is very old. He watches a part of a film, which reminds him a story from the days he was younger and begins to narrate it to his friend. We can see him working in the prison, while John, a very quiet man, is the newcomer and he is about to be executed in some days. One of the other prisoners, becomes a friend with a small mouse which is being hit. John takes it and heals in, breathing in and out its pain. He also cures the illness of Paul. The policeman has the idea to get John out of the prison in order to heal the tumor of his friend's wife. He accomplishes that with the help of the other policemen, and John heals the woman. However, he breathes the tumor inside one of the policemen, which kills a prisoner. John then grabs the arm of Paul and shows him that the prisoner who was killed did the crime that John was blamed for. Paul has to go on with the execution of John, even though he knows he is innocent. As a last wish, the policemen let him she a film, which is the one that the older Paul watched and reminded him the story. The policeman says to his friends that John is innocent, however, John is being killed. The story ends with Paul who is very old but he still lives, as John gave him life while he healed his illness.
The most important part of the film is the symbol of John's execution. This element demonstrates the destruction of something good and enhances the unfairness of this fact.
There is also a great inner fight inside Paul, whose remorses are still apparent as he has to live for so long.

Το κατορθώνει αυτό με την βοήθεια των άλλων αστυνόμων και ο John γιατρεύει την γυναίκα. Παρ'όλα αυτά, εκπνέει τον όγκο μέσα σε έναν από τους αστυνόμους, ο οποίος σκοτώνει έναν από τους φυλακισμένους. Ο John τότε πιάνει το χέρι του Paul και του δείχνει ότι ο φυλακισμένος που σκοτώθηκε έκανε το έγκλημα για το οποίο κατηγορείται ο John. Ο Paul πρέπει να συνεχίσει την εκτέλεση του John, παρ'όλο που ξέρει ότι είναι αθώος. Σαν τελευταία επιθυμία, οι αστυνόμοι τον αφήνουν να δει μια ταινία, η οποία είναι η ίδια που έβλεπε ο ηλικιωμένος Paul και του θύμισε την ιστορία. Ο αστυνόμος λέει στους φίλους του ότι ο John είναι αθώος, παρ'όλα αυτά, ο John σκοτώνεται. Η ιστορία τελειώνει με τον Paul που είναι πολύ ηλικιωμένος αλλά ακόμα ζει, καθώς ο John του έδωσε ζωή όταν γιάτρεψε την αρρώστια του.
Το πιο σημαντικό κομμάτι της ταινίας είναι ο συμβολισμός της εκτέλεσης του John. Αυτό το στοιχείο παρουσιάζει την καταστροφή κάποιου καλού και ενισχύει την αδικία αυτού του γεγονότος.
Υπάρχει επίσης μια μεγάλη εσωτερική μάχη μέσα στον Paul, του οποίου οι τύψεις είναι εκεί καθώς έχει να ζήσει για τόσο πολύ ακόμα.
